Christmas Is Here at Disneyland Paris
Recently I went to Disneyland Paris for a brand new season I have never experienced before. It felt like I had entered a new park for the very first time seeing all the Christmas decorations on Main Street. It was truly magical.
Christmas Is Here
Seeing the Main Street Garlands was something I had been wanting to see for forever and the sight was beautiful and worth the wait, especially as they were all new for the 25th Anniversary celebrations. It is very enchanting as you walk down with every 15 minutes bells chiming as it starts to magically snow!
Christmas Calvacade
The Christmas Calvacade in person is incredible. It was my first time experiencing it and it blew me away. With so many performers and characters such as Rabbit and Eeyore, also Max Goof makes an appearance and Duffy Bear with Santa. Everything is very magical with Snow at the end on Main Street which is the best place to watch it.
Mickey’s Birthday
It happened to be Mickey Mouse’s Birthday on the 18th November, and City Hall were giving out Stickers and the Cable Car Bakery was selling Cupcakes for Mickey’s special day. There was not much on offer but he turns 90 next year and that will be a big celebration.
They also had other Christmassy treats onsale including this delicious Santa Cupcake.
Merry Stitchmas
For this year on Castle Stage, a brand new show debuted called Merry Stitchmas. It is such a lovely new edition and I think we have been spoilt by all the new entertainment offered. This will definitely keep those Christmas Spirits up. Minnie singing All I Want For Christmas is a highlight.
Mickey’s Big Band
Another new offering for the 25th year is; Mickey’s Big Band. The highlight of the trip for me and you can read about my review here. It is based in Videopolis Theatre in Discoverland and, I would recommend getting there early for front row seats.
Goofy’s Incredible Christmas
After Mickey’s Big Band, it was time to head to the Studio Park to see the talked about Goofy’s Incredible Christmas projection show on Tower Of Terror. As I’m not a fan of Star Wars, I hadn’t seen any of The Season of The Force show on the Tower so, this was a first for me. It was really festive and very cleverly done and I’m pleased there were some live performers included too. Make sure you look all around you as the projections aren’t just on the Tower. I think if it was warmer, I would of enjoyed it a bit more. To get a decent spot, you had to wait about an hour before in the cold. Lots of Hot Chocolates and Mulled Wine were had whilst waiting thanks to the little carts in the Studios.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Tree Lighting Ceremony is also rather beautiful and is one to watch featuring Santa and Mickey and Minnie helping him light the tree for the season. It includes lots of classic Christmas Carols and it is truly enchanting.
HiPark Serris Hotel
I was in HiPark and it is a fantastic offsite Hotel. I was lucky and got upgraded to an Executive Apartment which, included a nice bed instead of their standard sofa beds, it was a nice touch as it was very spacious. I booked my stay with Holiday Hamster – check them out to book your stay at Disneyland Paris, highly recommended and an easy check in was had.
