Disneyland Paris Hotel New York – Review

Hotel New York

Last month I finally got to stay in Disney’s Hotel New York. My last one onsite before the Disneyland Hotel. It was my first time staying here and I was very impressed. It is going into refurbishment at the end of the year to a Marvel Themed hotel. I will be sad to see the theming go however, it does need upgrading in places.

The decor is quite pleasant with a hint of Disney. I liked that the Disney theme wasn’t thrown in your face like some of the other hotels. I loved the Mickey blankets and felt that the hotels could sell the decor items in its shops as, I would of loved to of taken one of these home. The reception area is really well themed to New York. With black and white prints of famous Sky Scrapers and Baseball decor, you really feel like you’ve been transported to the famous City especially, with its own Taxi photo opportunity. I also liked that some of the corridors were decorated like a Subway station.

We stayed in a standard room which, comes with two double beds, a mini bar, kettle, TV and of course a  bathroom that includes two sinks, that was a nice touch. Most of the other hotels I’ve stayed at have only had one sink.

Bathroom

The Bathroom was nice and spacious. It came equipped with lots of towels and toiletries including Shampoo, Body Wash and Conditioner in the signature Mickey Mouse bottles. The one thing I would say about the Bathroom is that I felt the Bath was too high to get in and out of safely.

With a Lakeside view, we realised at night we could watch parts of Illuminations from our room which, was a result. The hotel includes a nice Bar where you can relax and have an infamous Glow-Tini Cocktail. Other services include a Gym and Spa which, I didn’t get to use this time round. There’s also a Convention Room where I attended my first Pin Trading Night event which, you can read about in my next post.

Have you stayed at the Hotel New York yet? Are you happy that it is changing to Marvel? I’m hoping to get another stay here before the refurbishment as overall, I was quite taken with this charming hotel. With a five minute walk to the park through Disney Village, it is a great location to visit frequently and not miss much of your park time.
