Mickey’s Christmas Big Band is a fantastic new edition to Disneyland Paris for the Christmas Season. It is definitely not one to be missed! You will leave in awe after watching this show and feel very festive. I highly recommend getting to Videopolis Theatre early so you can get a good spot. It is shown several times a day, click here for the full guide. You are asked to queue outside rather than in the restaurant itself (this was slightly confusing watching it the first time round). I highly recommend a front row seat for this spectacular!
You are instantly transported to New York City with four Jazz singers as your hosts, who are joined by stars Minnie, Mickey and Goofy! The costumes were incredible and there were lots of different ones, including familiar outfits from the 25th Anniversary – they fit in perfectly with the Jazz theme.
Christmas Jazz music is a new favourite of mine due to this show. The energy is amazing with lots of tap dancing and quite a selection of beloved Christmas songs from Jingle Bells to Let It Snow which, includes a special surprise! Minnie has a solo performance about her love for Pianos and Mickey even plays the drums! Minnie and Mickey’s dance together to White Christmas is really special it also features a Saxophone player which is heavily featured in Jazz music.
There is also a surprise appearance by Santa Goofy during Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and, even he joins in with the tap dancers. The dancers are extremely talented and make this show special.
Disneyland Paris have really made Christmas special this year, and I’m so pleased this was my first experience of the season. I had to watch this show a couple of times on my trip and will be itching to see it again this month. I can’t recommend this show enough. I hope they keep this for the future and alternate it throughout the year. It is a great edition to the 25th Celebrations.
