Everyone knows my love for this Disney classic and I’d thought I’d share with you all The Lion King goodness Disneyland Paris has to offer.

Character Meets

Whilst you may not be able to meet Simba, you can meet Rafiki and Timon. They are normally in Adventureland between Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost and Indiana Jones. I have also had Rafiki in Inventions in the Disneyland Hotel and they are sometimes spotted outside Hakuna Matata.

I never really met them as a kid, only Timon. Finally, last year and more recently my dream came true and I got to meet Rafiki for the first time and Timon again after so long. They were pretty emotional meets.

Restaurant Hakuna Matata 

This restaurant is fit for any Lion King fan. It’s theming is amazing. It also plays the hit songs from the film in the background to add to the ambience. They also have African Drummers every now and again sometimes inside and sometimes outside on a nice sunny day, which I love to watch.

Famous for its Hakuna fries, this restaurant has a great menu for everyone. My favourite is the chicken tenders (it’s like they knew I was a Lion King fan and a chicken tender fan), both my favourite things combined – no wonder it’s my favourite restaurant in the park! You can choose from 3 options and each include a drink and dessert. There’s even options suitable for Vegetarian’s View full menu here.

Why do you love The Lion King so much Steph? Read this post by Oh My Disney and it’ll explain everything! It was the first Disney film I remember seeing in 1994 and has stuck with me through everything since. It reminds me to have no worries and remember who I am and have lived with that to this day. I am very happy that Disneyland Paris has a few options in the park to celebrate my love for this amazing film.
