In Photos: Pirates and Princess Festival 2019

During FanDaze it was announced by Catherine Powell that the Festival of Pirates and Princesses will be returning in 2019. The audience reaction was fantastic as it had just ended two days before. I was very happy to hear it was coming back for another run as it is truly spectacular. Pirates and Princesses 2019 Last year, the festival ran during Spring which, worked perfectly as it was on until the end of May and during a heatwave. This time, however, things are a little different as it is running from January 18th until March 17th. The cold does change things slightly. The costumes have been altered with winter wear and…

Disneyland Paris Halloween Soirée 2018 Review

On the 31st of October Disneyland Paris throws the biggest Halloween party ever and, this year it was full of surprises. Unlike Florida where there are several parties starting in August, Paris only gets the one but, they definitely pulled out all the tricks and treats this year. We walked in as Illuminations was running and, the music definitely felt amplified walking through Town Square. We got ushered into the backstage area on Main Street which, was amazing to see and we got to hear Boo To You and other great Halloween songs as we walked…

Disney Loves Jazz – a Jazzy Evening in Disneyland Paris Review

Earlier in the year, it was announced that Disneyland Paris was going to host an event based on the Disney Loves Jazz album featuring artists such as China Moses and Selah Sue performing their Disney covers. Thinking this event would sell quite quickly, it wasn’t a sold-out show. Disney Loves Jazz Characters This event was such a mixed bag and I feel Disneyland Paris still need to nurture their premium ticket experiences. Overall I had a great time but like FanDaze and previous Annual Pass events, there is still nitpicking to be done to make these run smoothly. It was time to queue outside the Studios entrance and everyone was…

Mickey’s 90th Celebrations in Disneyland Paris

This year everybody’s favourite Mouse is turning 90. The big Birthday kicks off from the 1st of October and Disneyland Paris are going all out. Created by Walt Disney himself, Mickey Mouse was first introduced in 1928 debuting in Steamboat Willie. Mickey was created to replace Oswald the Lucky Rabbit because Universal Studios owned most of the characters rights. Mortimer Mouse was going to be Mickey’s original name but, Walt Disney’s wife Lillian gave him the idea of Mickey Mouse instead, and that is who we’ve loved for all these years. Oswald is still a fan favourite, however, having debuted at Disney FanDaze earlier this year with his girl Ortensia, maybe…
