Disneyland Paris Annual Pass Party Guide

Disneyland Paris Annual Pass Party Guide Tips & Tricks!

When it comes to being an Annual Pass holder at Disneyland Paris, you get some really amazing benefits. Last year came special exclusive Annual Pass Parties, with the first being the Tower of Terror’s 10th Anniversary. Being only open to Infinity holders, the more recent ones have been open to other pass holders too where they could also bring a plus one.

They are held four times a year and the first of 2019 coming up which, is themed to the successful Pirates and Princess Festival. These have improved over time and this one is set to be spectacular. These events can be a bit confusing if it’s your first time so, I thought I would put together a little guide. I do hope you find it useful!

Buying Tickets

To buy tickets to these events, you will receive an email when they announce the event if you have an Annual Pass. The link is personalised to you so only you can use it as you must be a member in order to purchase these tickets. For plus ones, the pass holder can choose to select multiple through the link. You can also buy these at the park in the Annual Pass office (Au Bureau Pass Annuel) in Discoveryland and at City Hall. I advise buying these in advance as parties can and are known to sell out.

Ticket prices are usually around €42 and discount can be applied.

Upon Arrival

When arriving, there will normally be two queues where one will be used for easy access passes. Make sure you have plenty of time for these queues as it gets quite busy and they do not let you in until right on the dot of the start time. Sometimes they can go over the start time too so leave enough time to get there for a good spot but not too early as they may turn you away!

Things you’ll need to have out ready (a good tip is to keep everything out until you’re in the park itself as things get checked a few times).

  1. Your Annual Pass (which gets checked by Guest Flow and then scanned at the turnstiles like a normal park day).
  2. Your party ticket (if you have it printed or sent by post you will need this as well as your pass. If not you will be refused entry and asked to go and print it off by Guest Services).
  3. PhotoPass (there may be strict rules on the night that you may only be allowed PhotoPass photos taken at a character location to keep the queues efficient so. it is always necessary to have these on hand too).

Tip: I always wear a lanyard for parties as it keeps everything in one place. Also to note on arrival at annual pass parties is that there is always a token or gift given when arriving so, make sure you get yours!

Food

At events, the food places are limited and will be busy. I would always suggest trying to eat before the event starts so you don’t waste time at the party by queuing for food instead of your favourite character.

I would check which ones are open before you head to the event, so you can plan where to eat before you go. Some of the restaurants will have stopped serving food by a specific time too.

Merchandise

Annual pass parties also like to have exclusive merchandise on the night. At the Tower of Terror event, it was absolute chaos as things were of a limited edition. These have since been improved and we are told in advance of what the items will be so you can prepare if you really want the exclusive item or not which is great.

Characters

These events will always have some form of character meet on the night after the first event the feedback wanted them. They will try to match the theme of the evening too. Orange and Green passes are accepted for queues as well which is fantastic.

Photos

It is worth finding out before the event if you can take a personal photograph as well as the official PhotoPass photo. Prioritise your meets as you will not be guaranteed to get every character on the night. The queues get long and when it doesn’t seem like a lot of people in attendance, these lines can build up pretty quick. So my top tip is to have a game plan and stick to it and only meet the ones you really want to. If you have no expectations, you will not be disappointed.

Shows and Entertainment

Opening Ceremonies

At every party, it is occurrent that there will be some form of opening ceremony to kick start the event in style, much like Mickey’s 90th and the 25th Grand Finale. I love watching these but, it is good to stand in a place where you can easily access your first meet of the night or show.

There is always some form of show and they do not disappoint! Sometimes there might be a bit of confusion of where to stand for these shows so I do recommend getting there as early as you can for a good spot. Finding out which shows to prioritise is a must too so, you can plan where to stand in good time.

Mickey's 90th

Also, dependant on which characters have long lines, you may choose shows over characters or characters over shows to maximize time which, is another top tip.

It is impossible to do it all but have a good balance. These shows may also be canceled due to weather.

Attractions

If you’re not a fan of shows or characters, then this is the time to hit the attractions with hardly any wait time at all! Most of them are open on the night too and with parties starting to become more popular in Disneyland Park, nows the chance to ride Big Thunder Mountain!

I hope this guide sums up some questions for you with the next party being Pirates and Princess being just around the corner too. My last tip is to enjoy yourself! Don’t go in with any expectations and just have a fun night and you won’t be disappointed! Are you going to try an event or been to one before? Let me know your thoughts.
